Dave co-founded Meakem Becker Venture Capital in October 2005 with Glen Meakem, a venture capital firm with over $75M under investment, and currently serves as one of its two Managing General Partners. Prior to co-founding MBVC, Dave was and still is the CEO of Clearwater Capital Management, a private equity firm. From the mid-1990s through 2003, Dave refined his talents as a business executive and e-commerce innovator as a member of the executive leadership team of FreeMarkets, Inc., then the leading provider of internet deployed software and services for automating the sourcing processes of Global 1000 companies. Dave’s early professional experience includes financial and international management roles for Dole Fresh Fruit in Latin America, where he built a global information network that became the backbone of Dole Latin America’s logistics and supply chain management systems. Dave holds a B.S. in chemical and petroleum refining engineering from Colorado School of Mines, a M.S. in chemical engineering from Marshall University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. His pioneering work on e-commerce methods and other inventions has resulted in twenty U.S. patents granted.



Terry P. Harrison is the Earl P Strong Executive Education Professor of Business and Professor of Supply Chain and Information Systems in the Smeal College of Business. He teaches courses in all areas of the College’s programs: undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, M.S. and Ph.D., in addition to Executive Programs. His primary teaching interests are in the area of large-scale production and distribution systems, and supply chain design. He is a multiple winner of the Penn State MBA graduate teaching award, and has been recognized nationally for his teaching. Professor Harrison has served on the editorial boards of a number of journals. He is active in professional societies and has held a variety of positions of national and international scope. He is a frequent consultant to Fortune 200 companies on various aspects in the design and execution of supply chains. He is a co-editor of the 2003 book published by Kluwer, The Practice of Supply Chain Management. He is a past Editor-in-Chief of the journal Interfaces, past Vice President of Publications and past President for INFORMS.



Sean McDonald is currently the Chief Executive Officer of SnapRetail, a marketing and social commerce site for independent retailers. He previously served as the president and CEO of Precision Therapeutics having joined the company for 13 years. Previously, Sean founded Automated Healthcare in 1992, developing the first robotics-based solution to hospital pharmacy management. Automated Healthcare was successfully acquired by McKesson Corporation in 1996. While at McKesson, he held the position of group president over several operating companies with annualized revenues in excess of $250 million. Sean has been instrumental in recruiting and developing a successful management team to Precision in the areas of finance, information technology, human resources, sales and clinical trials. Sean holds a B.S. in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Florida.


PAT WARD – WSFS Financial Corp/

Patrick Ward is the Executive Vice President, Pennsylvania Market President for WSFS Financial Corp. He also serves on the Board of Directors of WSFS Financial Corporation. Ward has more than 32 years of banking industry experience and previously served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Liberty Bank. He previously served as executive vice president of Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania, overseeing and managing specialized industries, including Government Banking, Professional Banking and Not-For-Profit Businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as the Chairman and President of Citizens Bank in Delaware and a member of the Citizens Financial Group Executive Policy Committee. Prior thereto, Pat served as president and chief executive of Commonwealth Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Commonwealth Bank, until its acquisition by Citizens Bank in January 2003. He joined Commonwealth in 1992 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Pat held a variety of positions at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, including Vice President and Controller of Mellon Bank's Wholesale Banking Group and Vice President and Controller of its Retail Banking Group. Pat is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
